WHAT IS THE LIGTAS APP?
The LIGTAS App is a static, user-friendly, and quick emergency and mental health services directory for persons in Cebu (which covers all 53 Cities and Municipalities as of this writing). The App is available for Android users since July 2020, and will soon be available for iOS users by the third Quarter of 2024. The App features a quick three-button-press feature (Emergency, Location, Agency) which can help directly contact a preferred or nearest emergency response agency for Fire/Rescue, Medical, and Law-Enforcement, and Mental Health emergencies. With the contacts in the App localized to the local emergency units in Metro Cebu, citizens can directly contact emergency services. Hence, this makes the process quicker for emergency response.
THE APP'S GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE (GUI)
The App's Graphical User Interface (GUI) is so simple that a child can use it. You can call for Emergency Services with simple taps, depending on the type of Emergency!
All you need is the five-tap system to call for help:
1. Tap the Call for Help Button
2. Tap on the type of Emergency
3. Tap on your location (Local Government Unit)
3. Tap on your preferred Responding Agency
4. Tap on any Contact Number to autodial and call
